I’m Arthur Estrada Jr. from Skandia Mobile Country Club in Huntington Beach, CA.

A month after I bought my home, the park was sold to Investment Property Group (IPG). Within a month, lot rent for all new residents skyrocketed. IPG claims they incurred extra costs when purchasing the park, which they had to pass on to residents. How can a multi-million dollar company not know their expenses?

I helped form a coalition of over 700 manufactured housing residents called the Huntington Beach Mobile Home Residents Coalition. We go to parks around the city, educating residents about their rights. Our current goal is to get a rent stabilization moratorium overturned here so we are protected against rent-gouging.
