National Gathering: December 2022
MHAction resident leaders from across the country gathered in Tampa, FL, to map out power building strategies at the local, state, and national levels that guarantee all families have a safe and affordable place to call home.
Together, we focused on three primary goals: building the skills and confidence to act, sharpening our racial and gender justice analysis, and strengthening resident leader relationships.
MHAction's National Gatherings are always a great opportunity to build relationships with each other and continue our work towards building a vibrant housing justice movement. The weekend included a wide range of activities including relationship-building exercises, a powerful racial, gender, and housing justice workshop led by Libero Della Piana (Alliance for Just Society), a workshop focused on developing campaign plans, a review of key policy options, and debate skills practice. We're looking forward to more in-person gatherings and National Leadership Calls in 2023 and beyond!
