Release: Ben Carson Insults Tenants in Person While Hiking Their Rents
75 low and moderate income tenants and manufactured homeowners asked Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Secretary Ben Carson at the Manufactured Housing Institute (MHI) Conference in Las Vegas, “where will we go”. Carson insulted tenants and manufactured homeowners by responding “this is what happens when the swamp gets ahold of people.”
Day of Action for Affordable Housing in Sacramento
California Manufactured homeowners from Humboldt and Sonoma Counties traveled to Sacramento to join hundreds of tenants and affordable housing activists for a day of action to deliver the more than 550,000 signatures gathered to place the Affordable Housing Act on the November ballot, and to call for a package of several other bills that would help to address the state's housing crisis.
