Leadership

MHAction is overseen by a Core Team of local community leaders, all of whom are manufactured home owners living in land-lease communities. Core Team leaders lead by example and embody the central values of MHAction: Compassion for our neighbors and love of our communities. MHAction Core Team leaders oversee all of MHAction’s Issue work, recruit homeowners to participate in MHAction activities, lead local, state and national-level actions and trainings, work with MHAction staff to develop budget and program priorities for the organization, raise grassroots money to strengthen the financial health of the organization, ensure that all of our issue campaigns take a hard look at class, race and gender disparities and invest in key ally organizational relationships on behalf of MHAction.

Core Team Leaders make a financial commitment of $24/year to MHAction and are expected to recruit a minimum of 5 yearly supporters of $24/year. For a current list of Core Team Leaders, please send along a request for contact information by writing info@mhaction.org

Core Team leaders are expected to communicate with MHAction Campaign Leaders.   MHAction Campaign Leaders carry out activities that the MHAction Core Team prioritizes, participate in local and state level trainings and actions, provide feedback and input to MHAction Core Team Leaders, and attend National MHAction Community Calls.  Campaign Leaders make a financial commitment of $24/year to MHAction.

MHAction Core Team leaders oversee communication to MHAction’s Contact List.  Regular communications on MHAction’s activities are shared with over 14,000 homeowners (as of September 2016) that relate to MHAction through our Facebook, Twitter and national email lists.

MHAction is also led by executive director Kevin Borden and organizing director Shandra BP-Weeks.
