Ask your Senator to stand against cuts to Social Security, Medicaid, Medicare and HUD

Manufactured homeowners are standing up to make our voices heard and protect vulnerable members of our communities. As members of communities made up of retirees and hard working families, we’ve seen our neighbors struggle as lot rents continue to rise, living expenses increase and healthcare costs skyrocket, while wages and social security benefits stay the same.

We’re concerned that budgets and legislation coming out of Washington D.C. are proposing balancing the budget and “fixing” health care legislation by cutting vital programs, like Social Security Disability, Medicaid, SNAP, and the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

We pay taxes to support programs like Social Security Disability, Medicaid and SNAP that serve the most vulnerable members of our community and act as a form of insurance if we hit a turn of bad luck. HUD provides vital services to manufactured housing, most importantly ensuring our housing meets safety standards, funding vital infrastructure in rural communities, and providing subsidies so that low-income seniors and working families don’t end up on the street.

Use the form below to write a letter to your Senators urging them to stand against cuts to these programs that have been proposed in the President’s Federal Budget and the American Health Care Act (AHCA). Make your voice heard and make sure your Senators know that you value the health and well being of your neighbors more than insurance company profits, corporate giveaways, and tax breaks for the wealthy. We deserve legislation that reflects those values.
